Kingdom of Mythicos
[ ]Mythicos Castle
Far down below the sea, much further then any human vessel could reach; lays an elegant emerald castle. Light that makes its way through the clear blue water shines through the green gem palace. Large open windows allowed many colorful fish swim in and out of its grand halls, grand gardens of all colors surrounded the palace. All around the palace mermen stand guard, only allowing entrance to those whom they deem fit. This palace is also home to Queen Serenity and her six beautiful daughters.
00
[ ]Mythicos City
This is where the kind folk of Mythicos reside, markets, homes, and schools can all be found here. If ones lucky they may even catch glimpse of one of the Kingdoms beloved princesses.
00
[ ]The Reef
Colors of any kind can be found in this mythical place. This is where the many fish of the sea come to make there homes. If you’re lucky you might even find an entrance to one of the many caves that are hidden within its old walls.
00
[ ]Lagoon
The Lagoon is surrounded by the wonderful coral reef. These shallow waters are a clear crystal blue with the whitest softest sand imaginable. It is quite a sight to behold for mer or mortal.
00
[ ]Inland rivers
Where the river pools out into the ocean is the access to many new and interesting worlds. Its banks surrounded with human life, but many mer people come to ride the currents for pure enjoyment.
00
[ ]Serenity’s Grottos
Ahhh now this is a treat to find, these grottos were named after Mythicos most cherished Queen. Many of the caverns holding treasures that are beyond words to describe. If one is lucky enough they may come across the Queens eldest daughter coming from or going to one of the grottos she hides her most precious treasures in.
00
[ ]Fresh Water Lakes
Many rivers poor out into large fresh water lakes, each one of them having there own unique beauty to them.
00
Land of Haesitatus
[ ]Ship Yard
A section of the shore cut off from the rest by human contraptions and human presence, the ship yard is where the humans build and repair their ships. It’s a wonderfully intriguing place for those interested in charming things humans do while listening to the tick, tick, tick of their own looming demise, but it is still not altogether a safe place to be. With so many humans about, there’s the threat of being seen, and with them being so accident-prone, there’s a chance of a falling block of wood clonking an unsuspected mermaid or merman on the head. But, hey, dodge the dropped supplies and it’s a great place to pick up a few things for decorating back home.
00
[ ]Serene Shore
Further down the shore from the ship yard is, well, the shore. The shore stretches for quite some time before hitting more human controlled areas, such as a dock far, far to the south, but many mer-people find enjoyment in visiting this large stretch of uninhabited shore, where they can view human establishments off in the distance without being caught, and where they can see the sights of the human world while reclining up on the beach or just a ways out in to the water. The water itself it quite shallow here, as the land has a gentle slope out into the water, but just a ways off it drops off in a reef and a mer-person can find much deeper and more comfortable waters.
00
[ ]Open Sea
Ah, the open seas, the home of the mermaids and mermen, and with hardly a human to be seen. Sure, a ship may come through from time to time, but just let a storm spring up and that won’t be a problem for long. This here stretch includes the open surface water and all the depths beneath, so be sure to explore both when you get a chance. It’s the perfect place for those looking to get away, because this here stretch of water is so ridiculously big you could get lost in it for days and not even find yourself, let alone be found by anyone else. But, there is, of course, always that chance, so be prepared to play host or hostess just in case.

Kingdom of Nefarious
[ ]Nefarious Castle
Dreary, drab, and dank, the Nefarious Castle rests within a mire of underwater plants. Large weeping willows and crawling sea vines set the scene for this wonderful piece of real estate, complete with a creeping layer of muck surrounding the castle grounds and covering any hopes of light sand for acres around. The castle itself is built of the darkest green coral tinged with black, with steeped points as the roofs for the towards, made from coral and covered in the stretched hides of whales and dolphins. A sharp spear-like point rises from each church-steeple roof, and the windows are merely open gaps in the coral walls, with shutters of pure ebony to close out the light whenever it is wished. The tallest tower in the castle’s collection is the prisoner’s keep, where the Nefarious royals keeps those who have offended them. The broadest tower is home to the royal family, while the other towers consist of their throne room and the quarters for other visitors to the castle.
00
[ ]City of Nefarious
Within the dank, clutching grasps of the castle’s swamps lies the Nefarious city, a drab little squat of a city with shacks made of fish-skin covered sea wood, among other various materials. The streets of this less-than-charming little town are mud-covered beaten paths, while the more wealthy areas of the city have boarded sidewalks for the upper-class to walk upon. Merchants open shop outside their homes, with small stands that they watch carefully, for thieves lurk in the shadows of alleys. There are only two paths leading away from the city; one, dank but well cleared, leads up to the castle, while the other, just barely large enough for a single person to pass through unscathed, leads away from the city and out into the rest of the kingdom.
00
[ ]Murky Marshes
As the swamps of the castle and city thin out, the dank lands remain, covered now in flowing marsh plants with pits of thick, dank mud that pulls at anyone unfortunate enough to wander from the true path. The path is not a beaten one, but must be memorized, or else one may find themselves caught in the treacherous mud; it is unwise to travel here without a guide, unless one is looking for a thrill.
00
[ ]Sea Weed Forest
On the other side of the marsh grows the sea weed forest, thick and almost impenetrable with darkness of the sea weed and water trees blocking out any hopes of light from the human world above. Even the fish find this place less than appealing, and very few settle here. There is an eerie silence to this forest, and few dare to enter here, for the folk lore says that those who do rarely make it out. No paths lie through this forest, and it would be an easy mistake to get lost; such a terrible fate that would be.
00
[ ]Abysmal Abyss
Those who make it through the sea weed forest mind that it ends in a spectacular abyss, the trees and sea weed which grow on the edge leaning perilously into the impenetrable darkness of this great, gaping hole. When Nefarious citizens tell each other to “go fall in a hole”, this is the very one they mean, for, should one fall into this abyss, it is doubtful they would ever be seen again. No one knows if this abyss is endless or not, and no one cares to find out. Steer clear of the edge, lest you become the next unlucky soul to unwillingly find out.
00
[ ]Shark Reef
If one leaves the abyss and the forest behind, they will find another drop off in the dark seas, this one a perilous reef. At first sight, the reef is bustling with life, the sea plants dancing to the beat of the water, fish flitting about, but don’t be fooled; the sharks make this reef their home and hunting grounds, and many fish lose their lives to these predators. Be warned, for they enjoy a bit of variety in their diet, and may set their sights on any who wander through this reef.
00
[ ]Sea Witch Labyrinth
Deep within the darkness of the seas of the Nefarious kingdom lays the realm of the Sea Witch, a sorceress who controls powerful dark magics and can be of some assistance to those who brave the journey to her realm, but such help always comes at a price: the thing which that person values the most. The first obstacle on the way is the collection of whirlpools; it is said that the witch collects the massive, powerful whirlpools, using her magics to bring them here, her own personal guard dogs. One must be very cautious when passing through, lest they be caught in the muscle of these waters, and slain by the force of the pools. Beyond the whirlpools lays a bubbling mire much like the swamps and marsh closer to the castle, but here the mud is deeper and far more perilous, with only a single, narrow, unmarked trail to make the journey safely. But even those who make it this far are not guaranteed survival; beyond the whirlpools and mire lies the forest that surrounds the witch’s home: it is a living forest of plants and animals constantly reaching, grapping, and holding those who pass through. Those who are caught are never to be let go, and die within the clutches of these plants. Only if one can make it safely to the center of this forest, where the grasping plants recede to more marshes thick with toads and water snakes, and enter the house built of human bones, will the witch give them the time of day, and even still requires the price for whatever it is they wish.
